Due to the Pandemic, the kickoff meeting of the project, which had to be held in the city of Barcelona, had taken place virtually on the 17th of September 2020. Representatives of UC Limburg vzw (Diepenbeek, Belgium), Szépírók Tár§asága Egye§ülete (Budapest, Hungary), Krokodil Association (Belgrade, Serbia), Uxío Novoneyra Foundation (Folgoso do Courel, Galicia) and PEN Català have atended the meeting.
Gemma Rodríguez, the project manager from PEN Català, has explained in detail the bases of the new project, which aspires to bring young people and artists and their works closer together. The partners of the project have taken this opportunity to discuss the impact of the Coronavirus in the cultural sector of each country.
Be (P)Art builds on to previous EU Funded projects: Engage! Young Producers and SILO, both focused on literature and audience development. The partners belong to four European countries from north, south, east and west Europe.
We are looking forward to holding a face-to-face meeting by 2021!
